Eliot Congregational Church (third) is dedicated.
February 27, 1889
Architect: J. Williams Beal. Designed in the High Victorian style and originally the Walnut Avenue Congregational Church, it is located at 120 Walnut Avenue. An addition designed by Beal is subsequently built. The congregation merges with Immanuel Church and then with the Eliot Congregational Church after World War I. The church is all but destroyed by a fire on November 30, 1929 and rebuilt in 1931.
